Our Impact

Since launching in 2017, Black Impact has been at the forefront of empowering Black students across England and Wales. Our initiatives have trained and supported over 120 students into leadership roles, strengthened partnerships with national Black organisations, and created platforms to celebrate Black excellence. We don’t just talk about change - we make it happen

Impact Timeline

  • Laid the foundation for a growing movement of Black student leaders.
  • Trained and supported 40 Black students into leadership roles across UK student unions.
  • Delivered the How Black Students Win” Leadership Conference in collaboration with LSE Students’ Union, reaching 50 students.
  • Launched our first Black Officers Training Programme – Now You’re an Officer – supporting 45 Black student leaders in their roles (virtual delivery).
  • Debuted the Black Impact Graduation Awards – Class of 2020, the UK’s first-ever awards celebrating the achievements of Black graduates.
